How to Be a Better Ally

Melina B is an employee at The Arc of Midland. She makes the office much more fun, and we love seeing her each day. Melina is authoring the blog, and “spilling the tea” about all sorts of things while sharing her perspective! Follow along as Melina posts each Monday for “Mondays with Melina.”

This week, Melina is sharing how to be a better ally to people with disabilities. From joining events to spreading kindness, she reminds us that inclusion starts with everyday actions. At The Arc of Midland, we believe in creating spaces where everyone belongs - and Melina’s ideas are a great place to start.

Without further ado…

Simple ways people can support inclusion and understanding.

People can support inclusion by going to our events programs. We put on a better Ally to see what we have anything going on or check a Facebook post or anything fun we all do is to help encourage us to do fun things then staying home turning your thumbs. Is very healthy to leave your house. Is very important for our Mental Health and wellbeing. If we don't get out, it is not good for our brain. We have to be more Active. If we weren't we could have disease early on life. Is very important for the people we serve to include them. Our Program manage has major pros making sure our programs are fun for everybody to participate in .

We keep thriving every single day andhaving fun with your life too.
