History of a Friendship

This week, Melina is looking back on the day a meaningful friendship began. At The Arc, we know relationships are at the heart of everything we do. Whether it starts with a support role or grows from everyday moments, the people we connect with can shape our lives in quiet, lasting ways. Melina’s story reminds us that when care and trust are present, those bonds can continue long after a job ends and have a positive, life-long impact.

Without further ado…

Hi, I would like to talk about the history of our friendship on this day. It was the day we did an interview with her @ 4:00 she started to work with me. As staff from the choice voucher we had freedom we didn't have as many rules in place. She had a cute little mouse voice. She worked with me until April 23rd of 2023! Ever since then we have become friends. She and I did everything together. We did double dates with her, her partner and my boyfriend at the time. On August 9th I went to her wedding. I got to see her getting married. I was so excited and happy for her. I had happy tears. I danced a lot and her dress looked very beautiful. Angel. We are still friends.
