Melina B is an employee at The Arc of Midland. She makes the office much more fun, and we love seeing her each day. Melina is authoring the blog, and “spilling the tea” about all sorts of things while sharing her perspective! Follow along as Melina posts each Monday for “Mondays with Melina.”
This week, Melina is talking about the Halloween dance! There’s plenty to enjoy, from the costumes to getting out on the dance floor with friends. But what stands out in her post is how much she appreciates having these opportunities to get together.
It can be easy to think of a dance as just a fun night out, but Melina reminds us how much it means to have somewhere to go where you feel welcome. That’s a big part of why The Arc continues to bring people together. The planning and help behind the scenes make room for friendships to grow and give people a reason to get out of the house. Sometimes, spending an evening with people who are happy to see you makes all the difference.
Without further ado…
