A Little “Bat” of Choas

Melina B is an employee at The Arc of Midland. She makes the office much more fun, and we love seeing her each day. Melina is authoring the blog, and “spilling the tea” about all sorts of things while sharing her perspective! Follow along as Melina posts each Monday for “Mondays with Melina.”

This week, Melina is sharing some of her many experiences with bats—and somehow, she has had way more than most of us! From finding one in her basement to having one fly over her head, land on her roommate, and even end up in her dog’s mouth, she definitely has some stories to tell.

That is part of what we love about Mondays with Melina. It gives Melina a place to share the things that happen in her life, whether they are important, funny, scary, or just a good story. At The Arc of Midland, we want everyone to have opportunities to use their voice and share the things that matter to them. Sometimes, that can be as simple as telling a story that makes other people laugh and lets them get to know you a little better.

And after this many bats in one house, we really can't blame Melina for being scared of them!

“Hi everybody i would like to share about my bat experience i found my first one was in the basement but it was sick we had to put it in a subway cup second time was in living room i was watching a movie all of sudden i saw this black thing behind me it was a bat i wasnt scared because i never came close to one from the wild. We went upstairs hid in my roommates room at the time with my dog. When i had my summer parity it was in my house for two weeks until i found it flaying over my head another time my roommate thought it was her cat but after all it was a bat hanging of her bed. My roommate was watching tv and she hard screeching sound it landed on her, she was screaming top of her lungs ITS UP HERE ITS UP HERE lol it hit my staff in the face. Once in my dogs mouth, one on valentines day i was screaming. But i am scared of them”
