Spending Time with Friends
Melina B is an employee at The Arc of Midland. She makes the office much more fun, and we love seeing her each day. Melina is authoring the blog, and “spilling the tea” about all sorts of things while sharing her perspective! Follow along as Melina posts each Monday for “Mondays with Melina.”
This week, Melina is sharing why friendship matters. Whether it’s a lunch date, an ice cream run, or just making time to check in, friends help us feel seen, valued, and included. At The Arc, we know how important it is to build strong relationships and stay connected. Friendship isn’t just about making plans, it’s about showing up and being there for each other. Melina reminds us that being a good friend takes care, communication, and a little bit of flexibility.
Without further ado…
I love spending time with old friends. I did enjoy it the most when I was dating. I enjoy spending time with our friends .Because it is very good for your wellbeing to make time for your friends. Sometimes when we get busy people forget to spend time with them. Having friends is so important in our daily life. For example if my co-worker says hey would you like to go out to get ice cream then i say no I’m busy, it is not good always saying no, we should change comment to spend time with friends and be excited when you make plans with a friend. And say you know I was going to do whatever but I can put it off until the next day. You should not say i made plans with you, but you don't want to do this, so an later change in plans. Don’t then make plans with a buddy and say i can't do anything with you. That is yucky feeling and it can make somebody sad. Or left out!
That means they're not really a good friend.
