15th Annual Helpers & Heroes VIRTUAL Arc Stroll, Roll & 5k Run/Walk
Friday, May 1, 2020 – Sunday, May 17, 2020
Anywhere you are!
The Arc of Midland is hosting the 15th annual Arc Stroll, Roll, & 5K Run/Walk as a Helpers & Heroes VIRTUAL race! In the midst of the current crisis, it is important to realize that the needs of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities must continue to be met. We all know people who are to be admired, especially during this time. We are asking everyone to either dress as the helper or hero you admire and/or share a photo of the person or just the name/occupation of who you are honoring. It could be a parent, a partner, a doctor or nurse, postal worker or a favorite superhero. We want this to be a fun opportunity to honor the individuals we appreciate in our family or our community.
For this fundraising event, you can run, walk, or roll (scooters, rollerblades, wheelchairs, roller skates, strollers, etc.) on your own time, and on the course of your choice. This event can be completed indoors on a treadmill, or outside on a sidewalk, trail, or track, anytime between Friday, May 1 and Sunday, May 17. This 5K can also be split up into multiple days.
We would love everyone to share their photos on Facebook dressed as or honoring their favorite Helper or Hero and tag The Arc of Midland. Once you complete the virtual race, you can submit your time via email at email@example.com (this is optional as this is not a competitive race).
Not sure if you want to participate? Sponsor someone to participate for you! Please see sponsor options below.
There is NO registration deadline! You can register and complete the race by May 17th. Costs vary depending on whether you would like to receive a finisher medal or not. We even have an option for teams to compete together!
All ages, abilities and fitness levels are encouraged to participate.
