The Arc Community
“Change your thoughts and you change your world.” –Norman Vincent Peale
The beginning of a New Year is an exciting time to reboot ideas and start fresh. At The Arc of Midland, we work every day to break barriers and drive awareness in our community. The Arc of Midland was formed in 1952 by a group of parents who wanted their children to grow and develop and be full members of the community. From this beginning, a large number of support services have been developed. We hope that you will have a closer view of the changes we are accomplishing through the creation of this blog.
This is the official blog of The Arc of Midland where we hope to achieve three things:
- Provide time-sensitive information on the issues surrounding people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Create a safe place for discussion centered around the topics that the intellectual and developmental disability community would like to discuss.
- Give you information that you may need to help promote and protect the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and actively support their presence, participation and full inclusion in the community.
Feel free to post any suggestions on topics or events you might want to learn more about!
