People First 1st Annual Talent Show

People First held their first annual Talent show on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at the Elks Club in Midland.  The show was a tremendous success.  The room was filled to the edges with eager audience members.  We had a full slate of fascinating, humorous, talented individuals sharing their art with us.

The Masters of Ceremonies for the evening were Chuck Thiel and Michelle Vouaux.  They kept us informed and entertained.

The talent was overflowing.  From poetry reading to singing, from drama to musical acts, the talent kept the audience enthralled.

We had an all-star judges panel on hand to award cash prizes to the top three acts.  The judges were Jan Lampman, Leah Hockaday, and Jennie Inman. 

The winners of the evening were:

3rd place: Sheri Tolman for her wonderfully choreographed cheer routine

2nd place: Chris Hustead for his beautifully well-written poem on Love

And the 1st prize was awarded to Kimberly Shepherd for her blue's rendition of "summertime", an original composition
